On Friday, i attended Douglas Foo's sharing organised by Sg Buzz.
He is the CEO of Apex Pal international, also known as the Sakae Sushi's boss. He is a down to earth and inspiring man. Humble and wise too.
"I am not considered as successful yet, because i am still at the starting'S' and there's way to go."
I was glad that mel and me had a chat with him after his sharing.
Inspirational is the word to describe him.
"Many people will tell you negative things and discourage your dream, take it positively and take note of it.. their advice will come into good use. When the crisis comes, you know you are prepared for it and has a plan to conquer it."
"There is no perfect someone for you, no perfect company, no perfect government etc. that is why we have rooms to grow and appreciate."
" We must use our heart to appreciate things/ people around us. We are human. No matter how high you are in your corporate world.. you are still a human in the red dot of the whole universe. Therefore, dont be afraid..go for it, challenge it"
He is an extraordinary businessman and why he has come so far is because he knows how to appreciate and he does everything from the heart. He claimed that he would make a bad businessman by following the heart, however it is because of this, he is one of the wisest businessman in the world.
"If you can't help someone, don't harm them too."
"Life is only meaningful when you make a difference in someone's life."
I have to comment, it was a good choice to attend this function.
Only Singaporeans were invited. When we went to the reception table outside the function room, a man welcomed us with enthusiasm. I was alittle uncomfortable and had lost touch with the singaporean slang. Felt awfully weird. After awhile, the ice started to break and i felt homely once again after hearing surrounding people speak Hokkien. Hahaa.. Some of the conversations were pretty hilarious. We (Mel, perk and me) couldnt stop laughin. Dinner served was buffet Nasi PAdang. Yumyum..
We also realised that Stamford Plaza hotel is owned by a Singaporean too and every first tuesday of the month, CASCADE LOUNGE will be available for Singaporeans to gather. Sweet~
