Satisfying day

Woke up at 11ish again.. i found myself rushing out of the house, running for bus.. What's new? hahaa.. So Da glam! *Shakes head* I ought to do something about it. The only solution is to sleep early, hence able to wake up early too.

I was rushing to meet my Adv Rehab clinical friends (Shelly, Catherine and Jieting). We went to Mongkok Restaurant to yum cha. Gosh! The food was comparable with those in Singapore. Hmmm!!! YUm Yum! It was alittle pricey but well, we ought to enjoy ourselves once in awhile. hahah.. Great catching up with them and that couldnt wait for Shelly and Catherine (Aussie) to come over to visit us in Singapore. Shelly would be flyin to Spore in Jan and that Mel and me would be bringing her to mambo night! WHeee~ Heaps of eating and sightseeing. You know what, Jieting was telling them the places to eat in Singapore which i had never heard before. I felt like a Non-Singaporean somehow. I should go back and explore Singapore again! hahah..

I had to leave halfway to go for my 2nd appointment. Had to meet up with my clients who was going to take part in the City-Bay walk (It's like a marathon thingie.. but it is only for 3km.. i rekon is for the disabled or children). I was practising how to walk with her. In that session, i brought home a few messages.

1. "Never say never.. Nothing is impossible."
My Client has complicated health history and had bilateral legs amputated. All of the health professionals she saw previously told her that she would never be able to walk again. Her goal is to walk in Antartica but now someone who is told never to walk again is walking for this 3km event with her prosthesis and walking frame. Where is the sky? There is absolutely no limit in how high you can soar~

2. "You must have the guts! As long as you are determined, no one can stop you."
I saw in her eyes.. the passion.. her strong urge of wanting it!!! Gosh, someone with so much barriers is not giving up.. not surrendering to "destiny".. so the more i shant, isnt it? hahaha

The most beautiful thing is that.. i am feeling so glad i am someone that can help her achieve her goal. Making a difference in a person's life.. has always been the most satisfying thing in my life. I simply love my job.. something that coincides with my personal values.

After that, i went to Australian Red Cross to donate blood.
As usual, i was stopped for awhile coz my haemoglobin was alittle low for donating blood. My blood pressure was sitting at 103/71! Sigh.. why why? Thought i was called to go home but they gave it a go after taking 2 tubes full of my blood for sampling. CRap! I felt alittle faintish but kinda recovered quickly. After the sample was tested and my haemoglobin was sitting at 12.3! I was so so happy. You must be thinking i am crazy coz i just cant wait to donate blood, right? hahaha.. Look! There are so many people that need our blood, do something for them.. and the goodness will return. I believe that if i want ppl to treat me well, i need to treat ppl well first. Well well.. that's me! So if i am in an accident and i need blood, i hope there are ppl out there that would come in and donate blood for me? of coz touch wood. haha.. Seriously, you will never know when you may need it, isnt it? Life is unpredictable! By the way.. they drew out 470ml of my blood! Nearly fainted when i saw the label! I used to only donate 250ml in Singapore! That was double of my usual. During the process, this caucasian guy sitting next to me smiled and said hi to me and i replied hi and giggled and didnt know how to continue the conversation.. hahaha.. Crap! Shy Girl!!! *Grin* hahaha.. Did i mention, when the big needle went into my vein, it was freaking painful! I looked away but that was the worst pain i had from needle. Nearly teared but as what Nelson Mandela said, " You must put up a front, because you are a leader!" haha.. abit off track but u know what i mean.. haha.. was reading this interesting write up off TIME about Nelson Mandela. He is an inspiring man.. once i am done with my reading, will share some thoughts online.

I was supposed to meet mel at 5 ish but ended at nearly 6. I had to off the phone so not to disrupt the whatever machine in the room. Mel freaked out and called Perk when my phone was off. Instead of hearing that i was DONATING BLOOD, perk heard that i was VOMITTING BLOOD! Muaahhaa.. Choy! but thot it was really funny.. vomit blood? muhahhaa. have yet to try that.
Today, I had Sushi at Sushi train with mel for dinner and then went for grocery shopping. It's friday! so need to buy more things to stock up. Mel and me have found a way to light up the oven and griller last night. As usual, staring at the equipment hard enough helps. hahaha.. Well, or should i say, both of us are just plain SMART! hahaha.. *raises one eyebrow* And i wont be surprised if i found bruises over the needle incision coz i was carrying heavy weights straight after and the fellow jammed the needle in with force! *Sobsob* But that is not goin to stop me from saving lives! haha..The next aim is to donate plasma! hmm.. dont know how is it like? Anyone wants to join me?

Tired tired.. need to wake up early for footy tmr.
Night! *Yawnz*

C'mon.. what's new?

As usual.. I woke up at 11ish and found myself rushing off for appointment with my project supervisor in a far away land. Travelling is tiring. *Yawnz* Went for a home visit with my supervisor and then went back to town to do some errands for Mel. Lastly, I walked into Australian Red cross wanting to donate blood but... i didnt drink enough water!!! *Sian* I was so so upset. I have curbed myself from drinking my tea for weeks!!! I always have some problem.. When i was back home, I went to donate blood with yy pretty often and he would let me go measure my blood pressure first coz my BP was always too low to qualify for donation. After that, i learnt to drink heaps of water and took iron tablets for a week then i would go to do my checkup before he went. Apparently, he has tonnes of blood to donate and always have green light for all checkup. It took me about 30 mins for the process but took him only 5 mins. FREAK! Yea, that was one of our hobby back then. I appreciate the wait! *Smile* hahaha.. So well, i am going to drink heaps of water so that i would be able to donate tmr. It's time to do something good for the society! TO SAVE LIVES!!! *Wink*

Today i cooked something satisfying..
Minced pork balls bee hoon soup!
Comment from Mel : " A simple meal that brings back GREAT memory!"
Whoo.. The bean sprouts were crunchy, the soup was sweet enough, the minced pork balls were simply yummy! ahahaa.. *Drool*
So proud of myself.. getting there, ger~ muahhaa.. whHHhOOOO~!

Here are some pictures of my cooking...

Fried rice

Minced pork balls Bee Hoon Soup

Satay beehoon without cockles! Sigh..

Black soya sauce pork?
Pan fry fish fillet.. dont ask me what type of fish.. i dont know!!! Anyone can identify what kind of fish it is? haha

Steam minced pork and egg

Lenia is feeling hype up! " Just dance.. Gonna be okay.. Da Da do Do.. Just Dance..." *Shaking her body with the music*

Hitched a hike

Woke up at 11ish again.
Gosh, this sleephead can't seem to get enough sleep.
Had a discussion appointment with my ethics group at 1pm and ended at 3pm instead of 2pm coz we were out of topic 75% of the time.
Was rushing like mad to another appointment at another place away from town.
Volunteered for this city-bay walk event and i was on my way to meet my client in the clinic.
It was really horrible when i took the right bus but happened not to stop at the right stop.
Panicking like mad, and i was told she was leaving in 10 mins time.. i tried to flag for a cab. Took me 10mins for a car to stop right in front of me. I opened the door and the driver said," Where are you goin?"
"I need to go to 2 portrush road just right down the road but i dont seem to be able to see any cab here."
"C'mon, hop in. " Yea, this kind stranger took me to the place.. and this is the first time i hitched a hike. Yes, Lenia ger is still safe in one piece.. i am really thankful to this driver. If not for him, i would probably be real late for appointment. I must have been looking awfully distress, if not he probably would not stop his car to ask if i was okay. hahhaa..

Rushed into the building, took awhile to find my way.. and i saw my client leave to take her cab. Gosh! Felt extremely guilty. I ended late for my previous meeting and therefore arrived late to meet my client and Justin to practice walking with her so that she could complete 3km walk during the event. When i got into the clinic, i was panting, and the receptionist just walked up to me and hugged me. "I am glad you have made it!" Yea.. i was like thank god! *phew" and i told her i hitched a hike. The one she was talking to give direction was not a cabby. haha.. She blasted out, "WHAT!" I nodded and laughed hesterically. I was really apologetic. "Did you catch Justin too?" "Nah, i saw Jill on the way out." Thinking that Justin might be one of the caregiver of Jill, this young asian man came in the door.
"There you go, meet Justin and you both can exchange no!" Crap! He is a 2nd year physio student and i was wondering why would this young guy comes in for neuro physio. Oppzz.. Yea, exchanged number and we have to meet up to visit our client and practice walking with her so that she will be able to complete as much distance as possible. That is cool.. Meet new friends everyday..haha.." So you are Lee near...and you are a singaporean here for degree conversion rite?"
"Well, how do you know that?"
"They were talking about you and i am year 2 from malayisa." Hell no, i thought he was from singapore too.. he spoke with perfect english and kinda carried a boyschool slang. Looks really decent with his specs on and his complexion, is what a girl is dying for. Wellwell.. reminds me of Alan!!! haha.. Don't know how's this hk guy doing back home..

Back to the hitched a hike topic, yea... just plain lucky but no worries, Ms Teo will not push her luck too far. C'mon! You know how hard to get a cab in aussie.. and i was dead desperate! Right, i will not do that again.

This reminds me of another accounter back in sec 3.
I met a guy from IRC/ICQ (for those ppl in my era, hope you still rem that chat thingie). yea, seriously met him at Raffles place mrt control to pass him Crez carnival tickets. This guy was really nice to buy the tickets from me and he became one of my good friend till today. Thou, lost contact after i was attached but now, i am going to find you back! My hot favourite crappy guy MARCUS CHUA AIK HWEE!!!! hahaha.. That was our first and last time we met someone from IRC and thank god, we met good people and became good friends after that. This guy is a sweetie. Not that he is a sweet talker but he is someone special to me. Made soybean milk for me when i was working part time then.. hmm.. and we do crap alot. Juz click! Wellwell.. i guess he admires me, isnt it? hhaha*wink* Don't deny!!! hahaha.. i knew it all along! muhahaa.. kidding.. I am not going to lose any guy friends anymore.. all are so so dear to me. Dont you ever dump me aside, you understand.. if not i will be really really angry with you! hrmp!

Oh yes, "American So do you think you can dance" is back on TEN. Cool~ I can't wait to go back to learn salsa. Anyone has any recommendation of the dancing school? and .. i do need a male partner. Anyone interested?

Alrighty.. it's time to take a shower and then do some homework before i head to bed.
Have another afternoon appointment tomorrow. Bzbzbz...

Along Came polly...

Yeah, watched that movie on dvd.
Well well.. seems like a ger show. Pretty much but it is definitely not a waste of my time.
I dont juz watch a movie for the sake of killing time but to find some meaning from it. If you do watch it closely, you will find something inspiring or something that will keep you thinking..

There you go.. a conversation that i find it meaningful to share.

" Why dont you let go and move on with your life?
It's not about what has happened in the past,
what you think might happen in the future,
but the ride for christ sake!

There is no point for going through all these crap
because you are not going to enjoy the ride
and you know what..
when you least expect it..
something great might come along..
something better than you even plan for..." - Rueben's dad

Bad Luck in August

Sigh.. guess what, my bag gave way while i was in town today.
CRAP! I had to hug it till i reached home. I looked so not pro and definitely not stylo! *shakes head* haha.. Will sept be better month?

I went to state library to collect my reserved Cd and DVds. Borrowed Vitamin C album. Hmm.. rem this song called Graduation? It was the theme song for Crez grad 2000. Read the lyrics.. shall we meet up next yr when all of us turn 25? ahhaha.. I hate to admit that age is catching up. haha..well, getting matured is good. We can still look Fabulous, isnt it? hahaha... *Missing Crez days* Does anyone has a time machine or know how to go back in time? hmm...

Song for the day...
Friends Forever (Graduation)
by Vitamin C

And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down

These memories are playing like a film without sound
And I keep thinking of the night in June
I Didn't know much of love, but it came too soon
And There was me and you, and then it got real blue
Stay at home talkin' on the telephone and
We would get so excited, we'd get so scared
Laughing at our selves thinking life's not fair
And this is how it feels

Chorus:
As we go on, we remember
All the times we had together
And as our lives change,
From whatever
We will still be, friends forever

So if we get the big jobs and we make the big money
When we look back now, will that joke still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule
Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man?
Can Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan?
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
And this is how it feels

Repeat chorus

La, la, la, la; yeah, yeah, yeah
La, la, la, la, we will still be friends forever

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

Repeat chorus 3x

I guess it's really true...

A few months back, perk, mel and me were talking about this topic which i insisted it was not true for me. A few months down the road.. i realised i have to take back my words for that.

The statement we discussed was " You will usually find your boyfriend/ hubby who is similar to your dad's traits, be it subconsciously or consciously, you like it or not." I was opposing this idea. I wanted someone to be like my brother. My brother is an Aries. I simply love the traits of Aries and happen to like guys in that horoscope. I think i love my brother somehow.. hahaha.. He is such a good daddy and hubby. *envy my sis-in-law* Eventually, i realised.. yes indeed i do love aries but i think i am more attracted to Gemini. Somehow something in them makes me wanna inch closer but it is definitely challenging because they have dipolar characteristics. Pretty interesting and fits into my 3 sec interest trait because they are always unpredictable. You know what.. my dad is a gemini. I am sure my dad is the most good looking and cool CID around! With his charisma, he is there to charm all the ladies but he has choosen the lucky one -my mama! muahaha.. Maybe, my bro is just following my dad.. n that's why i am misled by the traits. hahhaa..it's amazing how it happens but hello.. it's a subconscious thing. not like you are a gemini n i will definitely like you. It doesnt work that way. I will only realise it after i know someone..you get what i mean? hahaha. And i realise..I am good friends with Aries, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. Believe it or not, it's kinda true somehow. hahaha *Shrugs*

Conclusion: Most of us will fall for someone who resembles our dad or mum.
Mel said, maybe that is why mother and daughter-in-law or father and son-in-law can never get along coz they are too similar. Muahaha.. well, i guess there is some truth in it.

The next debate question will be.. would you rather find someone with similar traits as you or someone totally different? What is your standpoint?
I prefer someone totally diff but has some common interests to start off with. So that we can build on the same goal and at the same time complement and learn from each other. hhaha..Coz if i find someone too similar, it wont last for long, it's the same as a stone hitting a stone. ahaha.. So i rather have a stone and water. Does it make sense?

A blind boy story

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by.
He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat.
He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words.
He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up.
A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.
That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were.
The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning?
What did you write?"
The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way." What he had written was: "Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it." Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind.
But the first sign simply said the boy was blind.
The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind.
Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story:

Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.Invite others towards good with wisdom.

Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets.

When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile.

Face your past without regret.

Handle your present with confidence.

Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

Great men say, "Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness…. In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience."

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling…And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

Well well...

I am currently in school lab.
I cant believed it that i only have a cup of milo and 2 bananas for my brunch and i am still not hungry.
erm.. just heard some kissing sound beside me.. *ahem* Excuse me! Silent, can? Don't need to be so opened about it. China chinese!!!! *shakes head* Kaoz.. there they go again. Another time.
I am not jealous, just annoyed! haha.. I shall put on my earphones and listen to my music. *bleah*

Oh yea, as usual i woke up at 11ish. Kept postponing my phone alarm till it decided not to ring anymore. Am i power or am i power? haha..

Well, decided to layer myself with heaps of clothes as it just rained - rainning= windy n wet = cold!!! But when i was on the bus to city... i could only say, "Gosh! Wrong clothing!" It's 18 degree celsius with the sun shinning brightly across the city. Freak! I have "over" dressed. *shakes head* I look like a tourist who is afraid of cold. Hmm..wait a min, i am somewhat a tourist and i am indeed afraid of cold. Heck! Just walk with style. I am sure when the cold wind blows at night, i will not regret my choice. Endure!!! hahaha..

After heading to state library to collect my Cds and borrow more Dvds (which i am not sure if i have the luxury of time to watch them since assignments are piling up), i decided to go to sch com lab to watch one of the Dvds while waiting for mel to finished her day. Unfortunately... the sch com is so high tech that DvD reader is not available. Sian! Dunno what to do with my 1-2 hr. I should have brought out my notes or story book to read. *shakes head* Why Why? Silly girl!
By the way, i refused to go shopping because.. i will be so tempted to walk into Forever new and you will see this pink buffered up lady staring at this pretty dress, just like how a little girl will look at her pretty barbie doll display on the shelf. *Innocent smile* Crap! I am praying for Spring sale!!! Be patient, girl.. the day will come! I am sure! hahaa.

Argh! Again! another kiss.. Tsk! Can't stand it any longer..
HELP!!!

Grief~

Today i attended Grief workshop for my ethics and communication module.
I realised how uncomfortable i was when talking about grief.
Immediately, 2 incidents popped out of my mind.
First is when i lost my grandma 2-3 years ago and secondly, i lost my loved one early this year. It is indeed a painful experience but it doesnt "clinched" and "squeezed" my heart anymore. *Take a deep breath*
You can imagine how queasy i was in class today when they talked about how ppl expressed their grief. Snapshots of the past flashes back, i stared in class blankly most of the time, horrified by the images playing right in front of me. Totally unpleasant! Took me awhile to brush the negative memories away. I remembered the only thing i wanted to do was to sleep and not wake up. Sounds like an ostrich who burries its head when danger arises. Haha! I remembered i didnt know why but i was so sick.. down with high fever, no appetite.. i guess that was my expression of grief.
I realised i was one that goes into denial, running away from reality and when i came to term with reality which will be some time later, i would break down and cry, like anyone else.. i just want to hide in my cave.
What i need is space... i just need to be heard.. i just need to be hugged. I do not need to be pressurised to move on coz grief takes time to heal.

I am thankful to you who has been with me when my grandma passed away and i am thankful to my sweeties who have uttered nothing but your presence means heaps to me.. In fact, i do not need ppl to curse and swear coz it doesnt make me feel any better to talk bad. I just need to be understood, to acknowledge that something in life is different.
Thank you for giving me space to breathe, giving me the courage to move on with my own pace, to be by my side and ever ready to lend me your shoulder to cry on. Because of all of you, i learn to pick myself up from where i fall and to be strong to face the reality without fear. This means alot to me especially when i am thrown into a foreign land shortly. Not easy but because of all of you, i know i have nothing to fear, no tomorrow i cant conquer with my faithful troope backing me up.
With that, i learn to rediscover my life and appreciate the present even more dearly.
And with better understanding of grief today, i am able to manage it better myself, to the ppl around me and my patients. It also gives me a wider perspective and deeper insight of the management.

Key points:
First is to acknowledge and then rediscover..always make the best of what you have got right now.

It's so sad but true that ppl learn to appreciate better after losing something or someone dear to them. I hope you dont need to go through to realise that every min with your loved ones should be treasured because no one knows what will happen tomorrow. Life is unpredicable.. Life can be cruel but always look at the bright side to appreciate the little setbacks which will only make you stronger.

I would always bear in mind what was told to me before i left for Adelaide..
"Whatever that doesnt kill makes you stronger"
"Just suck it up!"
haha

And i will always remind myself..
" There is always a rainbow after every rain, it is just if it is visible to your eyes.."
Princess mentioned, " Rainbow can be created by yourself!"
Yes! Indeed!
We hold the key to our future and it is up to us to interprete the events to create the end feeling. Eventually, i choose to get the best out of it.. to keep the best memories in my memory bank..Win-win situation.! Learn from mistake and not pin pointing whose fault it belongs.. what is past is past.. what matters now is the future. If not, believe me, you will get very weary and definitely not pretty! Just dont make the same mistake twice if not, shame shame! haha.. YeaH~! You go, girl~

I have drawn a few quotes which i find them meaningful from the workshop and would like to share them..

"His richness of his life comes from his disability"
If not that he has become quadriplegic, he would not treasure and live life as fruitful as compared to now.

"Acknowledge the past, it is different but it does not necessary be worse"

"We cant fixed grief, it takes time" - therefore dont pressurise ppl to move on.

Lastly.. let me end the day with rainbow! *Grin*

Can you see it? If you do, close your eyes and make a wish... your wish will come true! *Lenia swings her wishing wand*

Love you! *muack*

Was there even a replay on TV? *sobsob*
Dwijin was really sweet, he actually sacrificed not watching his Dexter on TV and accompanied me on msn coz i was upset. Awww.. *touched*
Now he is tempting me to go perth!! Keep advertising about good food.. places to go.. and his friend's siberian husky!! Irritating.. stop tempting me!!! but.. I am so tempted to go see the husky with blue eyes, brown and white fur.. Whooo.. Maybe can plan to go perth someday.
Let me go think about it.. hahaha

By the way, Chris just wrote a poem about me.

Love is thy life; love is thy name
Everlasting partnership is all but the same
Naught but by passion can thou dost be tamed
Inevitability, therefore, thy name is wife!
All shalt thus come true, all good in life.

wOw We~! That's something! Impressive!
Wanna know the meaning of the poem?

Love is thy life; love is thy name - "i just tot it seemed as tho that ur love life seems to play a very big part in ur life.... even tho u wanna focus on career right now..."

Everlasting partnership is all but the same - "everlasting partnership.... - coz i'm saying here tat finding a person u love is not that simple... that partnership is not the same as love...even tho tat partnership may last forever...tat's why it's all... but it's not the same..."

Naught but by passion can thou dost be tamed - "basically... u need to find someone u really love..."

Inevitability, therefore, thy name is wife! - "it's more or less given that eventually u'll find someone and marry..."
All shalt thus come true, all good in life. - "and the last line is just a hope for the future..."

He also added, "well... another reason why i write it like this is coz it's about u... and ur name is a big part of the person u are... so every letter makes up a part of u..."

Beautiful, isnt it? haha.. Thank you!*Smile* Aint i lucky? So many sweetie friends around me. Going to get diabetics soon. hhahaha
Alright, i am goin to bed now. Night night!

Davastated!

I can't believe it.. I woke up at 1345hrs!!!!
Missed my Phelps in action.. and unable to go market to buy my milk.
Very very upset.. angry.. sigh..

When mel was eating her lunch, i was juz eating my breaky.
Sleepy head! Ggggrrr..
Why didnt i wake up earlier? It didnt help when i left my hp on the dinning table. No alarm!
*sobsob*
Now i can only wait for the replay in the evening. But heard the results from mel and read the news online.
Glad Phelps won his 8th gold medal and his eighth victory in the Water Cube eclipses fellow American Mark Spitz's 36-year-old record of seven gold medals at the Munich Games. Well done!!! *shakes pompom*
Apart from that, congratulation to aussie ger team winning clinching another gold medal in their 4 x 100m medley. However, Aussie Hackette came in 2nd for his 1500m freestyle, didnt managed to make history for his consecutive 3rd gold medal in the same event but well, something has to give. *patpat* Good job! As long as you have done your best, leave the rest to god. *smile*

Quote for the day

"The biggest thing is nothing is impossible,
with so many people saying it couldn't be done, all it takes is an imagination. That's something I learned, something that helped me." - Michael Phelps

Faked Olympic ceremony saga
*Shakes head*

I have heard the news awhile back about the computerised effect of the fireworks during the opening ceremony of the Olympics held in China and the unbelieveable nine-year-old Lin Miaoke, who was seen by millions around the world singing during the ceremony, was actually miming a song that was pre-recorded by another girl - a seven-year-old Yang Peiyi who has uneven teeth and a chubby face, was replaced by government order because she did not present the right image of China. *shakes head*
Speak about right image of China.. i am not too sure how these fake impressions can help them achieve what they want eventually. I am utterly disappointed. *shakes head* I am not too sure if it is morally correct to let little peiyi feels rejected because she "doesnt present the right image" of her country and let other people stand in her glory? She has the voice, she is just a girl. C'mon~!
Apart of that humiliating news, i have something to share..

Day 8
Phelps won his 7th gold medal in 100m butterfly.
It was a breathtaking event. Those who have seen this event would know what i mean.
The last touch! He's the man.. he juz knows how to win.
At the last 50 m, he was still pretty far behind Serbia's Milorad Cavic. But claimed a finger-tip victory over Cavic during the last lunge by just one-hundredth of a second. COOL~!!! Well, this is the only event that he broke the olympic record instead of world record. Mel described him as "The quintessential of Legend.." and i totally agree.. 1 more to go to reach his 8th gold medal and to be a Legend of the Legend in the swim world. I WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOU, PHELPS!!! Sound like he's my friend huh.. hahaha.. if only.. *melt*

By the way, I am not too sure if I have mentioned that i am planning to take part in next year Osim mini Triathlon. Need a bike, so have been asking around. First, i asked Ian how much would a bike that i could use in tri cost.. I told him i was willing to spend 200 bucks and he said " my bro's bike has the same no but has another 0 behind. His is only an avg one!" *Faint* I thought my 200bucks was big! hahaha well.. Today, i was talking to weiheng and i was updating him my plans for next yr and that i was planning to take tri. He said something that i thought it was awfully true about what i thought biking was all about.

Mire Hacia Las Estrellas says:

Mire Hacia Las Estrellas says:

Mire Hacia Las Estrellas says:

He also added..
Mire Hacia Las Estrellas says:
ive met pple who are very hardcore in cycling, photography, games
Mire Hacia Las Estrellas says:
etc etc
LEniA says:
whoo..
Mire Hacia Las Estrellas says:
so i get to noe abt all these weird...passions
Mire Hacia Las Estrellas says:

Mire Hacia Las Estrellas says:
PASSIONS

Gosh! This friend of mine really knows how to speak my heart. What to do.. knows me since young, cycle together along the corridor, swim together .. Attend same kindergarten and pri school.. spend most of the festive seasons together (walk around with laterns along corridor, play with candles..) I love to bring it up! hahaha.. He must be cursing and swearing if he knows that. *Bleah*
How many years have we known each other? erm.. 24- 5= 19.. yea.. At least 19 years. ahahh! So cool, right? And we are still in contact, and it is so easy to relate to him wor. Old OLD friend of mine = Mr Sim Weiheng.. Friends Forever~ haha. Cant wait to go back and have kopi with him. Starbucks at holland?
Eh, maybe can swim together.. then i can have someone to compete with. Okay, fine, i know i will lose but.. at least i will try to keep up. And yes! SWIMMING IS MY PASSION not PASTIME! hahaha..

kk.. gotta go and rest. Need to wake up to give my Phelps my support.. haha
*bleah* nightnight!

Gosh.. I missed out quite a few exciting events because i have been out in the morning to noon to do some stuff. Either class or attend meetings. Grrr..
Fortunately, managed to catch a few glimpse of the important events in state library or school information centre. hahaha

Day 6
Ausssie gers including stephanie Rice won their gold medals in 4 x 200m freestyle! Nice, gers~!

Day 7
Phelps won his 6th gold in 100m butterfly! Broke another world record! Swweeet!!! That's my MAN!!! LEGEND!!!

Aussie Lisbeth Trikett won silver medal in her 100m breaststroke. It was a blessing, she qualifed for Final after China had a false start and she managed to squeeze a spot if not.. she would not have a chance to stand on the podium. Cool~ everything happens for a reason.. i always believe in that statement wholeheartedly.

Singapore female table tennis team won south Korean in the semi final and finally able to inch near gold medal. Well Done! Do Singapore proud!
Alas, i dont think Aussie will show this match. sigh.. no aussie olympians = no need to watch! *sian*

Some other updates for the past few days..
Lenia was really busy with her project proposal and her assignment that were due on Friday. That was the main reason why she had not been writting in. Pardon me if i was slow in my email reply, sms, call.. oh yea, no credit on my hp and i refuse to top it up until later date.. haha.. So can receive call but cant call out. muahhaha..

You know what, one of my classmate in my ethics class asked if i was a dancer? muahahhaa...
I was like "Hei? Erm... Nah! Danced alittle before ..but NAH!" I thought it was the flats that i usually wore that gave her the impression but she said it was my look. Cool~ Shuck, i should have asked her which kind of dancer i look like? Maybe Salsa =HOt? Social dancing= Classy? Ballerina = Elegant? Pole Dancing = Sizzling? Belly dancing = No comments!
I ought to ask her next week...But i took it as a compliment. hee..
I told mel about it and she said " whoa, Lauren doesnt know how to judge ppl!" Thankz lo.. *Lenia flips the table at mel* Angry! I dont want to cook for you le! Hrmp! *folds arms*

What else to add.. let me think..
Remembered!
Something interesting today.
Mel forgot her atm pin no and was unable to draw out money.
Perk stood there with a handful of coins and was unable to come out with the correct amount to pay the cashier when we went to buy jap cake.
Similarities = both of them are in their Advance Acute Care Clinical block = that's how AAC can cause a person into this state. Sudden loss of memory? Unable to calculate? Well.. SCARY!!! My turn will be next in the coming Oct..*Prays for better days*

Seriously, I am not going to walk into Forever New until sales (if there is any)
Went shoppin with perk and showed her what l laid my eyes on in Forever New.
Simply love it. I could get it for CNY. If only they ask me to be their spokesperson. I am definitely more afforable for the job than to employ some models! hahaha.. No need to pay me, juz sponsor the clothes will do. Good deal? Anyone happens to know Forever New's boss? Please be a kind soul to pass this message to him. haha

And ah.. when is Spring coming. Why is adelaide still under 15 degees celsius? Brrr.. Strong wind, rainy days.. cold morning and night!!!! I need some warmth! Spring, i need you!!!

Alrighty.. i better go and shower right now before being nagged!
See ya~ *Wink*

Olympics Day 5

YEAH!
Phelps got his 5th gold medals!!! 3 more to hit his Goal! ALL the way!!!
Luckily i was in time to catch Phelps in action for 4 x 200m men medley. WhooHOO!!! He plunged so gracefully into the water and flew like a sword fish. He was nearly 1/2 lap away from the rest of them. GOOD start for the 1st swimmer in the league. BEAUTIFUL~!
oppzz.. i realised i missed out his 200m butterfly today. =( He's AWESOME! Keeps breaking records.. WoW~!!!!

Vanderkaay, Berens, Lochte and Phelps (with his earphones)... Stylo Milo~

A body to die for.. that'a my man = MICHAEL PHELPS!!!

The next swimmer i personally love is Aussie golden girl Stephanie Rice. She won her 2nd gold medal in 200m female medley. She came in 1st for 400m erm..butterfly? Freestyle? Okay, my gold fish memory is kicking in again. Anyway, that's her 2nd gold medal for swimming. I love her scream when she realised that she was 1st. whOOOOOO~!!!! Go, Rice, go!!!!* shakes bom bom* Juz imagine my face on her pic!!! whOoHOo.. a body to die for.. a talent to wish for.. I Like~!!!! hahha.. Kaoz.. juz imagine also cannot? Give some suppport, can? Tsk!

Today is a good day. I received a parcel in my mailbox and it's a wallet sent from brisbby by Chris. Thank you!! haha.. At least now i have a decent wallet instead of using my pink purse.
Thank you, that's really sweet of you.

By the way, I realised Moon Cake festival is coming.. i saw mooncakes in the chinese grocery store. Expensive!!! No Brand somemore..And i dont see any snow skin mooncake, I basically love SNOWSKIN!!! Yummy~ i dont mind the flaky skin kind and i do miss the piggy!!! I want to go home to eat mooncake. =(
Is it possible to send mooncakes over from Singapore to Aussie? Will someone be kind enough to send some over? *Winkwink* haha..

Alright, that's all for now.. can't think of anything except for my snowskin mooncake and my korean rice cake.. Ggggrrrrrr... Hungry!!!

Olympics Day 4

I woke up at 12 and missed Men final 200m Freestyle!
Luckily i managed to watch the replay of last lap and the glory moment of Phelps taking his gold and Park taking his silver on the podium. WHooHOo!!! MY power MEn!!
They showed me what it meant by flying in water. SWIFT~!!!

Look at his dimple! Manly~!!!

Park, Phelps and Vanderkaay

Why do i have this STRONG passion in swimming? It is because I was a trained to be a competitive swimmer in Primary school. Trainings were nothing fun! But we (Weiheng, Weijing, me and sometimes Chris) were stay back to play hide and seek in the pool. haha.. That's decades ago. My glory days when i clutched medals in breaststroke and freestyle. The horrible froggie plunge that made my dad embarrassed for the first yr he attended and decided not to go for more. hahhaa... I missed the days when dad and me sat side by side, watching and commenting swimming events during SEA games, ASEAN games etc. I told him that my goal was to be like Joscelin Yeo and do him proud. What happen to my dream?? In Sec during one of the expeditions, someone commented that i was swimming like a fish. Thank you, i still rem.. haha..means alot to my ego! haha and in Poly while i was swimming in the school pool, the swimming captain approached me to ask me to join his team. Well, another compliment. Whoo.. should do something to upkeep my talent, wor.. ahhahaa..I guess, swimming is one of my forte but very deconditioned now. I have some of the techniques but not the endurance and speed. How i wish i can go back to competitive someday but how likely it will be? Maybe compete with friends? haha.. Friendly match!!!??

Wait a min, why am i blogging now?
I need to multitask alittle.. Eat brunch + watch olympics + do homework + chat on msn!!!
k.. i am trying to multitask coz i sux at it.. well.. sometimes i wonder if i am a female or not. Why guys can mutlitask better than me. Doesnt make sense.. hmm..

kk.. gtg..byebye byebye byebye~ *Waves*

Olympics Day 3

Still engrossed with swimming.
Woke up at 10 ish to watch swimming.
Luckily managed to catch Tao Li (singapore) in her 100m Butterfly.
She came in 5th but good job considering she managed to get into top 8 for final! whoo!
But the most spectacular match was for 4 x 100m freestyle relay! WHoohOO! The last lap was so nerve racking.. Lezak was Awesome! He fought so hard to overtake France to clutch the gold medal! whoo..

Picture of TRIUMPH!!!

After that, i decided to get out of the house to have some sunlight.
Shopped alittle in town, printed notes in school, picked up my CDs from library.
Oh yea, I have something to add on to my Wish list..

Olympic Day 2

Lenia loves to watch
1) Swimming
2) Beach Volley
3) Water polo

Gosh! Michael Phelps won his 4 x 100 m medley. HOT!!!! hahhaa..
Mel and me realised that he only looked good with his cap, goggles and trekky on.
But i love his smile, he seems to have manly dimples and he swims so charmingly. Look at how he swifts in water, his every stroke is thunderous *Jaw drops* That's the MAN!!!! Phelps was smiling sheepishly when he was about to go up the podium. So cute!! hhaha.. i like shy guy..

The next person worthed to mention is the gold medalist for 400m freestyle Park Tae-Hwan - Korean. Thot he wouldnt win especially competing with world swimmers in aust and usa but to my surprise, he is the first korean to win the gold medalist for 400m freestyle. GOOD JOB, Asian Boy! hhaha.. Thot he looked so so but when he smiled after he won, whoo.. CHARMING!!!

This girl here is crazy over swimmers!!! Rem Mark Chay? hahaha.. *Drool drool*
Where is he now? No news anymore. I still rem having a decent conversation with him and he waved at me because..mistook me as his friend. hahahha... But i have to comment that he is genuinely friendly. Hard to come by for someone pretty popular and from a rich man sch which is famous for snobs. Hands down to him!

Lenia misses SWIMMING and BEACH VOLLEY!!!!! I will definitely go back and start my routine again. Beach babes, shall we go Sentosa every fortnightly? haha

I want to take part in Osim mini triathlon! Anyone wants to start training in Jan?

i smiled at 2:44 AM.

*SPEECHLESS*

I was online with a friend who is staying in US and i was asking him if he could help me receive my Victoria Secret order and post them back to me.
Guess what he said..

"ok, but i've a few disclaimers if you order from VS:

1) i don't have to walk into the store to pickup/return/see/try on
2) i don't receive any monthly/yearly catalog subscription under my name
3) i don't have to comment on the material (or there lack of)/size/texture/color/ etc.
4) you _have_ to claim ownership if my roomie/friends/mom/landlord etc. asks about it. for the record, I do not wear skimpy ladies underwear!"

I didnt know how to answer his reply.
But according to him, i could say, " ok, tt's cool"
Hmm... *Burst out laughing*

That's so cute of him.. i didnt expect him to be as shy as before..
Maybe not shy shy kind but conservative is the word to use esp for someone who has been stayin in US for quite awhile. i dont know, correct me if i am wrong.

But not to worry, if i buy skimpy clothes or lingerie, i will be too embarrassed to get you to post to me. Unless you are my boyfriend, if not it is kinda inappropriate. hahaha.. Dont make me laugh! muahahhaa.. Silly guy!

Anyway, he gave me this idea of posting this content on my blog and i shall be nice not to disclose his identity. Aint i thoughtful? hahaha.. *Wink*

Last but not least, i realised one big misconception of VS was that VS = skimpy/ lingerie. NOT TRUE! They carry clothes ranging from formal wear -> casual wear -> shoes etc. hahaha..

*laugh till rolling on floor*

080808! HUAT AH!

Today i went for my first face to face interview in Adelaide.
Surprisingly, i was not abit nervous.
Maybe, my mindset was to gain experience from this interview and i was not hoping much for the outcome. The interview turned out to be pretty casual. I was quite comfortable with the conversation and managed to answer the questions.
Maybe... my heart is already in core concept.. haha.. Princess, you muz help me wor~ ahaha.
Lesson learnt from this interview:
My age and experience give me a winning edge over the fresh grad.
Driving is an essential in Aussie.

After that, i went town to shop.
Cant wait for Spring to come.
Most shops are starting to change stocks for Spring.
Clothes are pretty!!
I went into FOREVER NEW!
I got so addicted. I love their clothes.. i can get that for CNY!
Hahaa.. But i have to curb my temptation..grrr...
"But they are so so pretty! come come buy them, you wont find the same piece else where. Dont regret!" - Devil
"No! you need to save up for bigger things ahead of you.. be good..be patient! ENDURE!!!" -angel
Sighz.. fight, fight somemore..

We went to Skycity Pullman restaurant today to celebrate Wanning's birthday. Had seafood buffet! The oysters, prawns, crabs, mini lobsters were so so fresh till my mouth itch. (My mouth will itch if i eat very fresh seafood). YUmmy!!! I am eating my 1 yr worthed of seafood. I am so deprived of seafood here. And that, i couldnt believe that i was peeling my prawns and mini lobsters and crabs. I miss the feeling of people peeling for me without dirting my hands and just need to open mouth n eat. *Sobsob* I sounded spoilt? hmm.. i think so too.. hahaha...The desserts were not bad too. The vanilla brandy custard and orange brandy cake.. wHooo! *Drool*
Apart from food, we were having heaps of laughter.
Talking about anything under the sun.. from cadavers to life ppl.. and some interesting adult topics. Interesting.. hmm.. That's the problem when a group of physio come together. We love anatomy! muahhaaha..

By the way, Jieting has introduced another criteria into my Boyfriend cum hubby's list.
From now on.. the one and only criteria will be..

HE HAS TO KNOW HOW TO READ MY BODY LANGUAGE WELL!!!!
There is a very important reason behind this "philosophy". Thy shall not tell! hahahaha..

And that, my future boyfriend has to attend a year programme (crash course may be conducted but only case to case basis.)MEL TONG'S TRAINING SCHOOL before dating me. Mel always says " I know you inside out and i know what you want.. if i am a guy, i will be the perfect someone for you!" Muahhaah.. Why are you not a guy!!!

Potential candidates please download this enrolment form and attached your resume and send it to MEL TONG's TRAINING SCHOOL. Limited places available.
Successful candidates will be notified by post/phone. *Wink*

Muahaha...

Oh yea, tomorrow is NATIONAL DAY!!! i wanna go back to Singapore and watch the ceremony!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SINGAPORE!!!!
And today is olympics opening.. cant wait to watch the swimming competitions tmr! weee~

Today i received a call from Adelaide Metro Bus station.
"Hi weikee, we called to tell you that we could not find your wallet. Sorry!"
Sian diao!

There goes my precious forever with heaps of valuables in it.

To my physio babe gang, so sorry that i have lost the wallet you gals got for my bday!

Whoever that has taken my wallet, i know you are admiring my pictures! But can you please bring my wallet back to me n i will let you keep my passport pic.. n give you my hp number too. hahahaha..pls pls..
I know you guys need plastic bags to contain ur puke, rite? i have heaps to give out, knew that that would happen when i say tt. Hrmp!

Lenia is still hoping for miracle to happen.
Must be the intentional attempt to eat beef stew that brought this mishaps. I am not goin to eat beef anymore.. I want my wallet back!

Sighz, think i have to start shopping for wallet.
Any kind soul wanna sponsor? *wink wink*
Erm.. i dont ask for much.. maybe Louis Vuitton? hahahha

Sian!
Cooking is fun but not when i burn myself once in awhile.
*sobsob*
When is out ignition switch for the stove be coming?
I feel so handicapped without my favourite griller and huge oven!

Thank goodness, today's meal turned out to be nice.
Shall show you the pic.
Oven griled chicken fillet, cheese mashed potatoes (yea, made from scratch, impressive rite? muahhahaa), cauliflower with carrots.
I realised i have a speciality.. Western meals and specifically with chicken! Not tt i want to specialise but i seem to be able to cook it better than other kind of meat/ vege. haha.. beats me!

I simply love the girl! So me! hahahaa.. opppzz..

Should i count myself Lucky?

I realised my wallet was missing during midst footy game.
Ransacked my whole bag but to no avail.
Checked every corner of the room and asked everyone in the team too.
Then i realised, i might have dropped it on the bus to footy in the morning.
Gosh! There are heaps of important cards in my wallet (e.g. Credit card, atm card, student pass, Learning license, my calling card, some other membership card and my bubble tea card too.)
GGggrrrrrr...
How careless can i get..
The first thing on my mind was to call mel, asking her to help me check out the numbers to call to the bank, bus station, police etc... Cancelled whatever i need to cancel.
I feel the ache, the wallet is a birthday gift from my physio classmates. *Sobsob*
People say aussie people are honest. I hope so..
Once, my aussie frd left her hangbag on the bus and she managed to get everything back (that includes her wallet and handphone etc).
Lucky star pls shine on me... May you send some cute guy with my wallet to my door step and i will love you deep deep.. *Pout*

The Lucky thing is that, my bus tix was faulty so the bus driver issued me a note to board the bus for free today.
At least, i can still return home in one piece. =)

Well.. left with 5 cents in my pocket and can only wait for bank to open before i can withdraw money. Aiyo! Lenia ah Lenia.. what are you doing!!!! *Shakes head*
Blur like a sotong wor.. *shakes head*

Meanwhile, please pray hard for miracle to happen.
