i smiled at 5:54 PM.

JOey sent a link to me to look at from utube.
The webby is...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntReE2n15bo
It's really worthwhile to take a look.
It features a 5 year old blind girl playing piano without any training.. she is so TALENTED!
I was so touched!
She may be blind but her talent of playing piano has superceded her flaws.
Don't you think god is fair? There is always a good element in everyone of us that god has created.. it's just how we use it to make ourselves shine from within. Just remember, everyone is unique in his or her own way.. everyone is beautiful! Do not let other people underestimate you or talk down on you.. if they do.. it's just because they do not understand you. It's their misfortune, not yours.

This reminds me of something i have learnt from my business training..
to communicate with your heart. Yes.. Xin1 pong4 Xin1! Profound? haha.. something that needs internalisation before you can achieve it. haha.. well, but if you are sincere to someone, it's easy to show it. Alittle off track. oppzz..

A few hours ago,
I received a link to The new york times article on " To stretch or not to stretch?".
Efrem was asking me for my opinion on this topic.
Well, apart from assignments.. and ian's profound questions.. he is the 2nd one that keep my brain cells active. haha..
Well, it is a pretty interesting article that debates on if stretching works.
This topic has been a favourite talking point for health professionals in the past decades but no one could draw out the efficacy of stretching.
So the question is, if there is no evident that stretching works to improve muscle power and prevent injuries then why stretch?

My perspective is ... Doing stretching is to normalise the mechanism of the joints and muscle and maintain the muscle length. It is true that stretching would relax the muscle, hence reduce the muscle power but it doesnt serve the purpose to improve power in the first place. It is more related to flexibility. Certain sports like huddle/ aerobics need flexibility so stretching is essential.
So you must be thinking that running doesnt need stretching? Well, running needs alot of hamstring contraction so stretching hamstring would reduce the muscle power? But think again, if the hamstring is too tight/ overused due to continual contraction then it would be more prone to injury, right?

In conclusion, i still see the need to do stretching before and after.. esp after..
Physio! i need your input.. hhaahaha... would love to hear different school of thoughts.
